Recommendation…
Before deciding on your supplier or installer it’s
a good idea to view some of their previous work and if possible
speak to some of their clients. This should give you a good
indication of the standard of product, installation and
service. In 2004 96% of surveyed Turkington customers were
satisfied or very satisfied with our product, quality and
service. We also receive more than 50% of our work through
existing customer recommendations.
Beware Cowboys…
Don’t get caught in the cowboy trap - ensure you deal
with a reputable firm, preferably a company who is a member
of the Glass and Glazing Federation or the Conservatory
Association. Members of these organisations abide by a strict
code of practice, which are designed to protect consumers.
Turkingtons have ISO9001 quality charter mark, we are members
of the Conservatory Association, the Glass & Glazing
Federation and the Federation of master Builders. We are
also the only members in Ireland of the K2 Approved Installers
Scheme.
Value & Price…
Price is always an important concern but be wary of choosing
a supplier based on lowest price only. Your windows and/or
conservatory will be with you for a long time, so it’s
important that the design and layout fits your future needs
and that the quality of the job and overall value is excellent.
Rarely does the cheapest supplier also offer the best product,
the best quality or the best after sales service and guarantee.
Guidance…
Remember to amend your home insurance to ensure adequate
cover and ensure that you gain necessary planning permission.
