Turkington Windows is a supplier and installer of Residence 9 timber effect windows throughout Northern Ireland and Dublin.
Residence 9 is a premium PVC window system designed to replicate a 19th century timber flush sash window. However, unlike timber Residence 9 is incredibly low maintenance and saves you from the problems commonly associated with real wood windows, such as rotting, warping and swelling.
R9 windows are fully customisable, with a range of style, colour and hardware options for you to choose from.
Luxury timber effect windows accepted in conservation areas nationwide
Residence 9 can replace original wooden windows, improving the performance of your home without detracting from the traditional appearance of real timber.
This window is ideal for installations in cottages, town houses and period properties. Virtually indistinguishable from timber, R9 has even been accepted in numerous conservation areas where maintaining original aesthetics is crucial.
A stepped frame option means Residence 9 can also be installed in more modern styles of home as a replacement for existing PVC windows too.
Traditional features combined with the modern performance of PVC
Residence 9 incorporates a range of traditional features to create a true timber appearance. These include mechanical joints, optional astragal bars and a range of traditional style hardware
At 100mm thick, Residence 9 can easily replace 19th century timber box sash windows, covering the old paint lines and brickwork for a perfect fit.
R9 is also incredibly energy efficient. A nine chambered frame combined with 28mm double or 44mm triple glazing offers superior thermal insulation over single glazed timber windows.
Authentic painted timber window look or natural woodgrain effect foils
Residence 9 windows are only available in a collection of Heritage colours and natural woodgrain effect foils.
There are a wide choice of colours to choose from when customising your window. Go for a traditional painted timber window look in popular heritage shades: Clotted Cream, Cotswold Biscuit, Cotswold Green, Eclectic Grey, Grained White, No.10 Black and Painswick Grey.
Alternatively there are a range of finishes designed to give the appearance of natural timber including Corse Lawn, English Oak, Golden Oak, Irish Oak, Rosewood and Silvered Oak.
All colours are applied to the frame and the rebate, giving all over colour even when the window is open.
